Study tour at Puducherry and Auroville – Day 3
APCOA students and faculty visited Matrimandir, Oli School + Progress Landscape Office, Bharat Nivas & Tibetan Pavilion, Earth Institute. The Auroville Earth Institute has educated and empowered people to build their own dwellings using earthen techniques. And Matramandir signifying the birth of a new consciousness for the people of Auroville with its forms and spaces.
The students could study minimalism and sustainability reflecting in these buildings. Students could study different kinds of doors, windows, smart use of materials, massive cantilever and intresting use of forms.
